Quick Tan Acquires South Carolina Salon
September 12, 2000 - Dublin, GA – Quick Tan, Inc. today announced its first expansion outside the Dublin area with its recent acquisition of the assets of Solar Eclipse Tanning Salon, a Lexington, South Carolina tanning salon. “We are very excited about our growth prospects once we establish the Quick Tan and World Travel names in the South Carolina midlands” stated Company President John Blount. “As our Dublin customers of Quick Tan and Key West Tanning Salons already know, superior customer service and clean, well maintained Salons are standards we live by every day, and our South Carolina customers will enjoy these same high standards when we open on September 18.”
One additional benefit of expanding into South Carolina is its regulatory environment. According to Mr. Blount, the tanning industry in South Carolina is among the highest regulated in the nation. “We believe we will improve our levels of service even more by applying these regulations in our Georgia Salons”.
World Travel will offer travel services for South Carolina customers as well.
Quick Tan, Inc. is a Dublin, Georgia based corporation. It now operates three Tanning Salons: Quick Tan and Key West Tanning Salons in Dublin, Georgia and Quick Tan in Lexington, South Carolina. The Dublin, Georgia Quick Tan location offers aquamassage services in addition to tanning. The Company also operates World Travel in Dublin, Georgia and Lexington, South Carolina.
